Harvard University

The Harvard University is one of the most prestigious educational instituions in the world, as well as the instituion of higher educational oldest in the USA . Voted the best university in the world.

This university was founded on 8 September 1636 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, was called simply from nem college. It was then baptized on 13 March 1639 as Harvard College, in honor of John Harvard, one of its main patron. The first time in which is referred to the institution as a university was in 1780.

Harvard is a private university with more money in the world, in the year 2007 the sum was 34.9 billion dollars - this figure does not correspond to an annual budget, but the active ( achieved mainly by donations and financial applications) that the university has, and only a part, between 5 and 10%, is used in direct annual costs.

Currently (2006) has enrollment of 20.042 students, and 6.715 students from graduation, 12.424 students of post-graduate (master's and doctoral) and 975 students in the university extension programs.

The total cost for a student to graduate at Harvard in the academic year 2006-2007 was estimated at 43.655 US dollars, and only 30.275 of registration, more 9.946 of stay and food, and 3.434 US dollars of other charges.

Scotland

The written history of Scotland starts, in general lines, with the occupation of the south and the center of Great-Britain by the Roman Empire, that is equivalent to England and the Country of Wales. In 1603, King James VI of Scotland inherited the English throne and became James I of England. Scotland continued to be a separate State, except during the Protectorate of Cromwell. In 1707, after English threats to interrupt the commerce and the free circulation in the common border, the Parliaments of the Scotland and England promulgated the Acts of Union that created the Joined Kingdom of Great-Britain. After that Scotland became one of the commercial, intellectual and industrial powers of Europe. Its industrial decay after the Second World War I was serious, but more recently the country has lived a cultural and economic renaissance, particulary in the areas of financial services, electronics and oil. By means of the Scotland British Act of 1998, the Scottish Parliament was reopened.

MY FAVOURITE FILM

The title of my favourite movie is High School Musical. It's a film about six teenagers who love to sing. It was released in 2006 and the name of the director is Kenny Ortega. It's pure fiction. The six teenagers are performed by Zac Efron , Vanessa Hudgens , Ashley Tisday , Lucas and Monique ( i don't remember the surname of the last two actors ). They sing and dance.
It's a very enjoyable and romantic musical. The actors have an excllent voice and they are really good.
